OPPORTUNITY –In the past, www.CBHDA.org was used to communicate with members, post relevant board materials, and house important letters and white papers. Being an advocacy organization, they wanted to have a website that pivoted their image and was used to promote the work of the counties and board. With less than a few thousand visitors annually, this project was ambitious.
RESULT –Bifurcating their current website into an externally facing website and taking their previous content and making a “member only” section was step one. Defining the new target audience to Elected Officials, Capitol staff partners, and the press created clarity around what a new wireframe and style needed to be. This original image and focus shaped their ability to be seen as a trusted advisor and provided a new online educational resource to educate external partners and media on very complex subjects. The outcome was a measured success with over five times the visitors (24,000 unique visitors and 57,000 page views total) the following year.
